Software Development

Software built for how your business actually works.

TEKEASE® is one accountable firm for custom software, websites, hosting, and security. The work is led by a former U.S. Army CID Special Agent and computer forensics investigator with 25 years in investigations, so security is a first principle in everything we build, not an add-on.

Custom business platforms:built from scratch around how your business actually works.↓Modernization of business-critical systems:aging software rebuilt from the inside while it stays live, without a risky rip-and-replace.↓Custom browser extensions:Chrome extensions that connect the web applications your business already uses.↓WordPress development, security, and managed hosting:fast, secure sites that are looked after long after launch.↓

Built from scratch

A custom operations platform for a regional logistics company

Cloud operations platform

An operations business running on a failed legacy database, a whiteboard, and spreadsheets, with every invoice and payment keyed in twice. The platform replaces all of it with one connected system.

How we approached it

Structured discovery:recorded working sessions with every role in the business, watching real work as it happened.

Nothing left on paper:every handwritten note, spreadsheet, and workaround cataloged and turned into a system requirement.

Designed before it was built:architecture, data, security, and operations documented before the first line of production code.

What it does

Dispatch:a dispatch board modeled on how the team already works.

Billing:flexible rates with live margin calculation and warnings before a job loses money.

Invoicing:customer-facing and internal versions from a single record, with accounting integration.

Driver communication:automated text dispatch with confirm and reply, even on basic phones.

AI-assisted data entry:tickets and receipts read from photos, always confirmed by a person.

Built on a modern cloud stack, with each customer’s data isolated at the database level, independent backups, and continuous monitoring.

Paper, phone calls, and double entry, replaced by one system the whole team can trust.

Modernized in place

Modernizing a live regional classifieds marketplace

Legacy modernization · Development and managed services

A live, revenue-generating marketplace for private sellers, auto dealers, and advertisers, built on a legacy commercial classifieds engine. TEKEASE® is its sole developer and full managed-services provider. Rather than a risky rewrite, it has been rebuilt from the inside over several years while it stays live and earning, one verified, reversible deployment at a time.

Scope of work

Dealer platform:dealer accounts, managed inventory, performance reporting, and a custom browser extension that imports a dealer’s listings from their own website.

Billing and receivables:subscription plans, automated overage billing with a preview-then-approve run, invoicing, and online payments.

Listing experience:rich vehicle detail pages with specifications, a loan calculator, and similar listings on desktop and mobile.

Analytics and reporting:a custom metrics engine with rollups, dashboards, and PDF reports.

Email and advertising:one branded email system tested across every major inbox, and a display ad manager with rotating ads and a quote builder.

Security and operations:hardened hosting behind an edge firewall, fraud screening on new accounts, and scripted deployments with automatic rollback.

We can take over an aging but critical business system, keep it running and earning, and modernize it safely.

Browser extensions

Custom Chrome extensions for business integration

Integration where no connection exists

Much of the software a business depends on lives in a web browser, and much of it was never designed to connect to anything else. When there is no integration and no API, a custom browser extension can bridge the gap, working inside the applications your team already uses.

What an extension can do

Bring data in:pull records, listings, orders, or contacts from a website or vendor portal into your own system in one click, photos and details included.

Send data out:push what is on the screen into your CRM, QuickBooks Online, or line-of-business application without retyping it.

Add what the software is missing:buttons, panels, and shortcuts placed directly inside third-party web applications that were never built to talk to your systems.

Retire the copy and paste:the repetitive work your staff does between browser tabs every day, automated and checked.

How we build them

Secured to your staff:sign-in through your existing accounts, with every request verified by your own server before anything is read or written.

Privately distributed:deployed only to your team, never published for the public, and managed centrally where your organization supports it.

Built to current standards:written on the current Chrome extension platform, with the minimum permissions the job requires.

Maintained as sites change:when a website your extension depends on changes its layout, we update the extension so your team is not left stranded.

In production, one of our extensions lets a marketplace’s staff import a dealer’s complete inventory, photos included, directly from the dealer’s own website into the marketplace in a single step.

If your team copies the same information between browser tabs every day, there is a better way.

WordPress

Development, security, and managed hosting

Ongoing service across client sites

Custom themes

Hand-built themes:not reskinned marketplace templates. No bloat and no abandoned third-party code.

Plain-English options:clients manage branding, links, and layouts without touching code.

Security built in:locked-down uploads and editing, registration off, and author identities hidden from attackers.

Shared improvements:a security improvement made in one client theme is rolled out to every client theme.

Fast and findable:responsive, fast-loading, search-friendly markup.

Custom functionality is written as code we own and maintain, rather than stacked from dozens of plugins, including client portal and billing customizations and integrations with our support systems.

Security hardening

Edge protection:firewall rules, geographic blocking, bot protection, and admin areas reachable only from approved locations.

Account security:two-factor authentication, unique admin accounts, and least-privilege access.

Email domain protection:SPF, DKIM, and DMARC to stop spoofing and phishing in the client’s name.

Server-level protection:malware scanning beneath the site itself, and private areas kept out of search engines.

Hacked site recovery

Most cleanups delete the visible damage and miss the way back in. We approach a compromise the way a forensic examiner would.

Contain:isolate the compromised site to stop the spread.

Investigate:a forensic review of everything the attacker changed, including hidden accounts and planted files.

Rebuild clean:a fresh installation on clean hosting, with content verified line by line.

Lock it down:every credential rotated and hardening applied before the site goes back live.

Managed hosting

Centralized management:updates, monitoring, uptime, and backups for every site we host.

Proactive care:problems caught before the client notices them.

One managed plan:hosting, security, and support under a single ongoing relationship.

A site that is fast, secure, and looked after, long after launch.

Technology

We choose the platform to fit the problem, and we are equally at home modernizing an established system as starting a new one.
